I share the derision towards any idea that a pill could replace the immune
protectiion of breast milk.

But I doubt it would work for baby cows, either!

The immunity strengthening conferred by bf is dynamic and instantly
responsive. Mother human (and presumably mother cow) confronts the bugs,
and her immune system transfers the exact, tailor-made antibodies to her
breast milk.

Unless a pill contains some sort of synthetic antibody of every disease
known to humankind, how could it come close to breast milk's amazing
ability to switch on the correct immune response exactly when it's needed?

How could it work for cows, as I imagine the bovine immune response is
triggered in the same dynamic way?

Pah!
