When I was a hosp LC I worked PT and was paid pool RN rate  (I'm RN/IBCLC),
However, I know another RN who went to work as IBCLC and was way underpaid,
the same as hospital was paying non RN/IBCLC.  I think the position has to
be valued by the hospital and paid at RN rates.
The responsibilities are just as great!  Just different!!!  MNSHO :-)  Pat
