Darrilyn's post on this was a 'saver', maybe even one that this young woman
should read. She sounds like she has thought things through, and wants to
do the best by her baby. Would it be an option to gradually stop lactating
while continuing to supply the baby with her milk, if she decides to BF in
the hospital?

If there is a milk bank in her area, it is possible she could become a donor
there too.

In any case, as Darrilyn points out, she cannot make the final decision
until after the birth. If she does change her mind, how sad it would be if
she had already decided to accept medication to stop lactation. Her breasts
are preparing for the baby just like she is; they are going to be noticing
the baby isn't there, just like she is, whether or not she gives the baby
the colostrum and the first milk. Good she has someone in her corner who is
aware of all the options and will be there for her.
