Neostigmine, I believe, is a muscle relaxant, not an anesthetic per se. Brand name is Prostigmin. Lawrence's book (5th ed., 1999) on page 794 says "not detected in breast milk" and "poorly absorbed from GI tract". She references 4 other sources for this as well.
WHO's website (http://www.who.int/child-adolescent-health/New_Publications/NUTRITION/BF_Maternal_Medication.pdf) says "avoid if possible in combination with atropine", but lists 4 other muscle relaxants considered safe.

I can find no sites that specifically mention Isoflurane and bf, but it is an inhaled general anesthetic, and any site discussing general anesthesia says that they are compatible w/bf because of their short half-lives.

There are so many OTHER combinations of anesthetic meds that are compatible w/bf, why won't these docs consider using a commonly accepted combination if they're so concerned? Another case of sacrificing bf on the altar of ignorance.....
