My husband OB/Gyn would have a patient come in every few months to get a galactocele drained by needle. We started at about 2 months and mom came in when she felt uncomfortable. Later she went and had a very bad experience with a general surgeon who removed it; but did go on to nurse her second child with no problems. I would advise any mom to find a lactating breast knowledgeable surgeon before they have anyone touch their breast. Personally, I would drive to another state! Karen Graham
