As you may recall from the section in the book about liposuction as a
technique for reduction mammoplasty, the caveat with this assessment was
that a sharp cannula can, indeed, be quite injurious to the parenchyma, as
well as the stroma.  My assessment was positive with regard to lactation
outcome only when a blunt cannula is used.  Sadly, your client's experience
illustrates the very real danger of the sharp cannula.  The changes she has
noticed during her pregnancy are encouraging, though, and it's wonderful
that she has enlisted your help now.

I would be very interested in her outcome if you are able to post it.
