This is the way we do it also. The instructions that come with the Medela
pump recommend using COOL water to rinse the pump pieces -- NOT HOT. So there
should not be a problem with the tepid water at your hospital for cleaning
pumps. The molded plastic container that the pump come in makes a nice little
dish pan, but the rep mentioned that they may not be packaged that way in the
future.
