Better yet, how about powdered COW'S blood!  Almost exactly like human blood.

shortages.  Never again will you need to be concerned about AIDS from getting
someone else's blood.  Need blood?  Our blood banks are FULL of humanized
cow's blood...no need to worry!

Feeling a bit puny?  Hemoglobin slightly low?  Not to worry!  We have the
answer -- humanized cow's blood.  And the benefit -- no one will ever have to
give blood for themselves before surgery -- no one will ever be called upon
to donate blood again....

What?  You want HUMAN blood after your surgery/car accident?  Don't be silly.
 Cow's blood is just as good.
