Hi Nikki,

I've been using Linda Smith's "balls you have around the house" concept
(thank you, Linda!) for many breastfeeding consults and classes. I can say
with certainty that the visual has an effect.

I just did a bf consult with a couple who already had one child who had
been breastfed and wanted help with the second baby. I showed the balls (I
use a marble for 1 day, golf ball for 10 days, and tennis ball for adult),
and the dad lit up and said "WOW, now I see why the baby doesn't need much
the first day or two!"

I used the balls for a bf class I taught for 20 second semester nursing
students, and I could hear many "WOWs" and "Reallys?" throughout the room
when I explained them.
