For a twin gestation, the risk of still birth increases after 38 weeks,
I do not believe the evidence supports this general statement. It is true
only if the twins are infants of diabetic mothers, mono-chorionic and
mono-amniotic placentation (single sac for both), or have evidence of discordance or
twin-to-twin transfusion. My perinatologists do not routinely induce or section
twins.
