I have answered Qs on bf for several years on and off for
http://www.ukparents.co.uk as a journalist - ie I get paid (not
much!). I have started doing it for the BBC website parenting
section http://www.bbc.co.uk/parenting.

I also do it as a volunteer for our NCT site (with colleagues):
http://www.nctpregnancyandbabycare.com and informally on email lists
and talk boards.

It is a good way for me to read about what is going on, and backs up
the knowledge I get from the phone calls I take.

I also get sent Qs privately from people whose
friends/sisters/colleagues have been in touch before with their
babies.

I suppose on average I answer about 10-15 Qs a week.

I like doing it. It's different from phone or face to face stuff.
