I am finding this thread on large families interesting. I always wanted a
large family and thought it would be great having more brothers and sisters.
Now I have my own large family and it is a wild ride. I get many rude
comments from strangers, such as "you better close up that hole" or "Who did
that to you?" but also many wonderful comments. To relate this to
breastfeeding, one of the worst comments I have received was from a woman at
the mall who told me, "you should breastfeed, then you would be able to
space your children better." I just laughed, I told her that my oldest
three were triplets and, as a matter of fact, they were still breastfeeding
when, at 15 months, my little one was conceived.
