Acne is a non-lethal condition. How about asking the mothers to take it on
faith that it will clear on its own? The worst that can happen is that they
have a spotty baby.
We call it 'newborn rash' here and we don't blame it on anything except
being newborn. Babies are breastfed for months and months and months and
the rash clears by itself after a few weeks at the most.
If the rash didn't clear without dietary modifications in mother or baby, it
would not be called newborn rash or acne here. It would be called an
allergic rash.
