Gloria,
This mom is hospitalized with otitis? Why? Does she have underlying health problems? Is this otitis media or extrena? Any cultures to ID the organism?
Is the doc advising her to pump and dump a pediatrician?
Anyway nafcillin an antistaph PCN is fine, ciprofloxicin is alittle controversial, risk/benefit idea but we all know what Dr Jack thinks.
Roxicet many be an oxycodone/acetaminophen combo and should be OK.
If this is a pseudomonas infection hence the cipro and cipro is a concern mom can ask about other anti-pseudomonal meds such as ceftazidine or piperacillin but they are IV.
