Teri,
Are these truly white blebs or does mom note her nipple tips turning white  
when she is having the pain?  
Raynard's of the nipple will give a woman pain.  It will also appear  white 
when the nipple is in pain and can go to a dark purple as the blood rushes  
back into the nipple.  
Some women will describe a tri-color of the nipples from white to purple  and 
than to natural pink.
