Women can apply nystatin drops to the nipples, but as Nancy has pointed out,
it is quite sticky. In Australia, I use Daktarin oral gel on the nipples as
first choice ( a bit sticky, but less so than nystatin drops) as we know it
is safe for the baby. My second choice is nystatin ointment because it seems
to be the one people are least likely to react to (anything can cause a
nipple dermatitis).
