I have a mother who exclusively pumped for 10 months and then stopped. She is still feeding her 1 year old her frozen pumped milk and is down to her last few bags of milk. The last few are bluish in color and baby vomits after drinking them. I attribute this to the low fat content/high sodium levels in her milk during involution but have no data as to the mineral characteristics of weaning milk vs mature milk. She asked if mixing with goats milk would be helpful and I honestly don't have a well researched reply. Anyone have a link to a study with comparison of milk composition at various stages including weaning?
