Rob, there was review* last summer that mentioned an older trial (Stahlberg,
’86) which showed more colic in babies (already troubled with colic) when
they were bottle-fed infant formula than pooled breast milk (89% v 71%).

<I can't really say colic occurs less in breatsfed babies but as we know
breastfeeding itself is <comforting. I also think in general breastfeeding
parents are more attuned to their babies and <less likely to be hesitant to
immediately comfort them.
