Hi All,
Okay, give it to me! How would two babes get foremilk and hind milk if they
fed from one breast? Would it be switch feeding, baby A 1st, baby B 2nd then
baby B 1st and baby A 2nd? Also, with this particular mom, she had chemo 6
1/2 years ago, would this have any effect on her pituitary and ability to
produce enough milk for 2 babeis on one breast?
Another complication for this mom is that the baby girl is having a hard time
BF. She is slightly tongue tied and gives her mom a sore nipple despite
attempts to get a nice deep latch. The temporary solution for this mom is to
ABM feed the girl with supplements of EBM, and totally BF her son, who
latches beautifully! She is debating on having the girls frenulum clipped,
and is doing stretching excercises in the meantime and puts the girl to
breast 2-3 times a day. She's also hoping that baby girl will grow into BF
soon. She would love to exclusively BF, but is realistic that it may not be
possible.
Any suggestions for this mom would be greatly appreciated. I seem to have
run out of ideas other than pumping after feeds to increase supply.
TIA!
Jay
