How about hand expressing, if she needs to express, rather than using a
pump?  I see from original post she is using an electric pump. Maybe the
setting is too high, or her flesh is being pulled. Hand expressing would be
far gentler. Would be worth really working on getting this baby to take the
breast - what were the original reasons for his refusal?
