...for putting it so well.  I am constantly amazed that "we" are still showing/telling moms to put baby's head in the crook of their elbow.  Not one in a hundred women have a nipple way over there!  They comment on how obvious that is when I help them re-position and explain to them why it is causing them discomfort.  I see moms most commonly between 3-4 days and 2 weeks, and I think they are done such a disservice by both LCs and nurses/hospital staff by being shown the "crook position" as desirable.  Maybe those doing the teaching are the crooks?
BTW, I was very impressed with the clarity of your writing in the recent JHL article.
