I just had a thought as I walked by the 3 P**SI machine and 1 C**E vending
machines. Parents frequenly ask me, a hospital-based LC, which type
of "formula" is best to use. Would it be too evil, to say "It is like the
choice between P**SI or C**E, whatever you have more of or what is best
tolerated by the baby."? I can't help liking the comparison of "formula"
to pop but would this be unethical? My standard answer now is referring
them to their HCP for the decision which is a cop-out. My partner LC enc's
lipil since "we want the babies to get the 2nd best if they are not getting
breast milk " but I've read the info on lipil from Lactnet and it seems too
untested to me.
