Hi Lactnetters

Here's a good news story about breastfeeding in public - actually on national television tonight (Wednesday, 30 July).

A few minutes ago, on "The New Inventers" program on ABC (Australia) television, one of the three inventions shown and discussed was a breastfeeding sling to support the breasts of large-breasted women. The inventor was on the program with her baby, and demonstrated putting the sling on to support her bare breast, and then breastfeeding her baby with her invention in place. The members of the panel, two women and a man, made positive comments about breastfeeding, e.g. that it was a shame if women gave up breastfeeding because of some sort of snag, as breastfeeding is important. They all saw this invention in a positive light.

The inventor also mentioned lactation consultants as helpful people, several times.

Oh - just now at the end of the program, when the panel voted for the best invevntion (on design, usefulness, cost), the breast sling WON. The inventor will now be elibigle for the finals for the inventor of the year. There is a People's Choice award each week that can be voted on. I imagine that in on the Austalin Broadcsting Corporation (ABC) website. Can anyone is Australia provide the URL?
