Fio asks for suggestions for a planned evening on BF toddlers.
Would it be feasible to take along the recently weaned four year old?  You
could just mention after a while that she had been BF til very recently, and
they can see for themselves that such children are OK.

If the group is not large and the child is very secure, perhaps she could
even tell the group something herself.  Or, she might visit with them during
a break, or play with their babies.

Lots of people imagine a BF four year old to be infantile and grotesque.  It
gives them a valuable reality check to actually SEE one, and see the mother,
to realize she doesn't look like a social deviant.

Obviously if this child would be bad publicity for BFing toddlers, you
wouldn't take here along!  I'm betting she would be fine.
