Dear listmates,

Would like to hear any and all opinions from RNs (labor and delivery
especially, but also could be home health or public health nurses) who took the CLC
training and were not IBCLC's at the time. It is being offered in our area
next month and one of the home care MCH nurses I work with will be taking it.
Also, I was asked to post by a CNM in the area if you wise Lactnetters had
any insight as to the training's effectiveness for L&D nurses in improving
their clinical skills with assisting breastfeeding women. Looking at the
curriculum, it certainly seems quite comprehensive. I heard someone say or read
somewhere that it is on the same level as the training that an aspiring La
Leche League leader would go through to become accredited. Is that a fair
comparison? Please post on or off list.

Thank you for your assistance.
