Hi Janna,
(1) antibiotics are NOT required for staph epidermidis - this is normal skin
flora (it is not staph aureus, which may require antibiotics)
(2) yeast / candida may take 7 days (most labs only grow it for 48 hours b/c
vaginal candida will have grown by then - b/c many more organisms present)
At present, I see little point in trying to grow candida.
