Hello, all. Thank you to those who wrote back to me in response to the
possible connection between combined OC's and the baby with malodorous,
green stools and GI distress. I wanted to tell you all what happened.
The mother decided on her own to discontinue the combined OC's. Within
about four days, the baby's stools returned to normal and the GI distress
disappeared. We still are not sure if this had to do with a decrease in
milk volume or some other change attributable to the OC's. The mother
never perceived a decrease in milk supply and the baby had continued to
gain weight. The mother is happy that her baby is no longer in distress
and has seen her physician and insisted on a precription for Micronor.
