During my favorite radio station's fund drive recently
(http://www.wamc.org) a comment was made that a democracy has about a
250 year life span.  It starts out as a democracy, then regresses to a
oligarchy, then to a dictatorship.  We are now clearly in the oligarchy
stage (rule by the few), and overdue for dictatorship.

The power of money in our society is disgusting.
