I happened to mention this situation in a discussion with our social
worker.  She stated, as an earlier post had suggested, that it they
are married then the husband has a right to know baby's diagnosis.
Then he can figure where it came from.  Who knows, he may have been
the source himself.  If they are not married, then he has no rights
in terms of baby's treatment, info etc. unless he has been legally
determined to be the father.  Of course, this may vary in other
locations.  What a sad and frustrating situation.  I should have
stock in rope companies since there are so many regulations etc.
that tie our hands!
