Great suggestions, all - my addition is to make sure you practice your key
points in the mirror - anticipate some of the questions you are pretty sure
will be asked and practice out loud - then, before the interview, just take
a little quiet time and some deep, calming breaths

Remember that you are the expert. You can get on there and tell them that
breastmilk is the covering of the moon, not blue cheese, and people will
believe
it! ( well not really but hey, it helps calm the nerves to think of funny
stuff).
But you are the expert. Write down some suggested questions for the
interviewer to ask because they don't always know what to ask. They suggest
about 5
questions. And then write down the key points that you want the audience to
come away with. Go in with the idea that you are just going to discuss these
points like you would with a new acquaintance.
It may help to have your makeup down the day before at a makeup counter so
you can pick up some points there if you are not used to doing makeup.
I have done many, many local TV interviews. The interviewer is the one who
the camera is going to focus on to make look good. Be sure your hair is done
all the way around in case they do shots of you from the rear!! Don't wear
prints.
Smile, sit up straight, cross your legs at the ankles if in a sitting room
setting. look proud and confident. You will do a great job. You're the
expert!
