Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine Launches New Journal
The Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine has contracted with Mary
Ann Liebert Inc. Publishers to produce the new international journal for medical
professionals to be called Breastfeeding Medicine! This quarterly peer
reviewed multidisiplinary publication will be devoted to all aspects of
breastfeeding including basic scientific research in lactation, as well as clinical
studies of milk production, maternal problems and infant growth and development.
It will also include invited reviews. Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine news,
Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine meeting abstracts and other features will
also appear at intervals.
M.A. Liebert Inc Publishers produce an extensive roster of
scientific journals from the Journal of Women's Health to Zebra Fish and Biosecurity
and Bioterrorism as well as books, trade publications and online portals.
They are master communicators.
The journal will be a benefit of membership and also be available
by open subscription, which will include print copy and online accessibility.
The first issue, Volume 1 Number 1, will appear January 1, 2006.
Scientific articles are welcome beginning immediately.
Manuscripts can be submitted to the editorial office electronically or by United States
