The price of Breastfeeding based on approx. 200 kCal/day (which equals 2T. peanut butter) is approx.$6.00/mo. or $73.00/yr.  Artificial baby milk varies from $94 to $205/mo. or $1,125 to $2,459/year depending on the type of artificial milk used and depending on how much milk is used.  The formula price is based on 14,500 oz. needed to feed infant for one year.  I use this in a breastfeeding class.  Hope it helps.  The prices were compared late. Fall/1997.Faylene in Helena, MT.
