I have permission to post this from a coworker who didn't think she would be
breastfeeding but is so overly excited because she is now into it for 4 1/2
months and wants to continue. In the beginning her little girl would latch
and she would have lipstick nipples. After a few weeks and some adjustments by
both mom and baby the situation resolved itself. But yesterday she called
me into the nursery ( she is one of our nite shift nursery RNs) and said that
it was happening again. I suggested that perhaps she needs to change
positions and perhaps from what she described that the baby was beginning to teethe.
Any other opinions from our knowledgable group?
Winter has arrived in Miami....40's tonite!
Yeah we know the rest of North America is freezing we just like it alittle
but my orchids that are just blooming might not.
