Jean,
You expressed my feelings exactly.  I can't see promoting their use as a
prevention for exactly the reasons you mentioned, but was interested in
feedback.  They have been helpful in TREATING in mom presents with already
existing nipple/areolar trauma along, of course, with determining and
correcting what caused the problem in the first place.
