This is a topic that Dr Klaus used to discuss.  The fat content of the
animal and how the mother feeds and parents.  A rabbit forages a lot at
night to avoid predators and hides her babies in a cache.  She could not be
seen  running to feed frequently or the predators would more easily find the
cache. So the fat content of her milk is high .  The baby rabbits  are
sustained for longer periods on the less than frequent feedings. This is
from memory but I think that is right.
I don't believe at all that Peter Rabbit's mother gave him ABM in spite of
what that industry might imply with the ads to that effect.
