Diane,

My Kayla had exactly the same thing at 3 months of age. At the time, other LCs
and LLLLs said it was probably too much foremilk and I tried to nurse her longer
one side. I guess it improved. This same baby had bright yellow, thick, foul
smelling stools for a few days at 6 months of age. All along she gained well
and was fine in all other respects - slept - alert and responsive when awake - a
satisfied feeder. I couldn't believe one baby could have such a variety of
stools and could never narrow it down to anything, not even what I had eaten.
Perhaps these are all in the range of normal possibilities. Maybe someone else
can shed some light.
