Although it makes me sick, I think your current group is a lost cause!

Unrelated to the emphasis on bottles/AIM in this club, how about a note of
concern to club officials that they may be incurring liability on behalf of self
and club by prining such offers without further info, as they may be
encouraging mothers "self-prescribe" formula for their infants. Multiples, often
preterm or sick at birth but even full-terms, might receive a food not approved by
the infants' peditric care provider. Not all artificial formulas are
appropriate for all infants, and the wrong one with the wrong infant can cause harm.
And, of course, inappropriate use or mixing of any artificial formula can cause
harm. If officials OK such newsletter inserts (or give the editor "carte
blanche" without other approval) and an infant is harmed or has a bad reaction, the
Board members (and the editor) could be sued by the baby's parents and this
could affect personal finances unless the Club has purchased Board insurance,
which I doubt -- very expensive...

Karen
