Where could I find any information about these lawsuits? We may not know
the details, but a city, date or institution would be useful. This
information will be helpful to me when I discuss importance of giving
formula to newborns only when medically necessary.
I may be able to enlighten my employer with a new insight on the true cost
of the "free stuff". Elimination of the "free" gifts (samples of OTC
medication, deodorant and diaper bags) was handled similarly. The cost of
unpacking, storing and delivering of free gifts to patients before
discharge was deemed unnecessary.
In my experience, people (administrators) will listen when we speak their
language ($$$). I feel it is my responsibility to present information to my
employer that can assist in maintaining the financial solvency of the
institution for which I am very happily employed. ;-)
