if fortifiers are a "necessary" part of preemie nutrition, then why do other
places (like sweden) do without them?

my concern about fortifiers is this business about ABM changing the pH of the
gut for six weeks; wouldn't the fortifier have the same effect, and have the
potential for increasing chances of NEC and other bad stuff?
