a mother just rented a pump from me to induce lactation for her 2nd adoptive
baby. Didnt try this with her first adopted child. has a friend who is an
OB nurse and is nursing her baby, and this friend let her know that bf is
possible for her too.

This mom is so excited about the possibility of nursing. I have had no
experience helping mothers in this situation but am excited to be involved
helping this mom. So all you lcs out there who have any info that I can pass
along to mom please let me know.

She has begun pumping every 3 hours (baby due any time) and has an SNS to
begin feeding baby at breast asap after birth. The Birth mother wants to
pump her colostrum so the baby can have the benefits of it, and adoptive
parentsthink this is great.

She wants to know about hormone therapy in order to produce milk. How do
some of you out there who have done this before advise theese clients. Any
resources or references would be much appreciated!! Thanks.
