Does anyone remember about this?:

A co-worker heard at a conference last year that when babies' hands are left uncovered and the babies scratch themselves, it's okay because the scratching helps with neurodevelopment.

While additional stimulation helping with nerve development makes sense, is there an actual reference that scratching is a good thing? Does anyone else remember hearing this?

thanks,
Debbi Heffern
