The mother should have an effective pump on hand at all times (or hand
express if she prefers). The breasts should be kept as soft as possible
(drained). She could try to stockpile some extra milk during the 2 wks
before chemo starts. Usually the tumor is not super fast growing so I don't
think that would be a factor for these few weeks.
