This is late, but I thought I should add my 2 coins of small
denomination here.

Our daughter had lesions on her foot and leg that started out as small
raised spots, then proceeded to rings with central clearing. She was
diagnosed with ringworm provisionally but the caregiver wasn't quite
sure (irregular border, extended too deep, not as on the surface as
ringworm). Anti-fungals didn't touch it, of course, and it cleared up
on its own in a few months. It wasn't until a few years later when it
really blossomed over both legs from feet to knees that it was
positively diagnosed as granuloma annulae. As I understand it, this
usually occurs in the lower legs but can appear elsewhere. So it is
possible for it to look quite like ringworm. Topical anti-inflamatory
is what the dermatologist prescribed.

regards,
Beth
