As usual, the stuff from the formula companies is always better.  Why
would any formula be better for a baby with renal failure than
breastmilk?  As far as the kidney transplant is concerned, the doctors
sold her another story.  The mother's antibodies do not get absorbed
by the baby.  Even if they do, they wouldn't hang around for 7 years.
They wouldn't sensitize the baby to the mother's proteins.  There is
evidence that children who have been breastfed are *less* likely to
reject a transplanted kidney.

Of course, if a doctor says it, it must be true, eh?
