Neil Campbell, MD, (Australia) described at the 1993 ILCA conference just
such an incident among his NICU staff - they actually wrestled Mama to the
floor in an attempt to apply a pump when she refused to breastfeed. You
could *feel* all 800 of us stiffen in total shock.

Then he showed a picture of the baby - an adorable little orangutan - and
added that the father never paid the bill, either.

He got a standing ovation, and the tape of his talk is well, well, well
worth watching.
