Jessica asks: Any suggestions on the best way to retreive this 
valuable colostrum?
I have moms hand express into a sterile test tube with the black cap. (
I have pictures if anyone wants.  Just e-mail me privately.) 
The advantage of this is that those 2cc of milk suddenly look like a lot
more and psychologically it encourages mom to  continue pumping.  One of
the biggest problems is for the mom to be waiting for a pump, see a
mother emerge from the pumping corner with a full bottle of milk, and
then sit and pump her 7 drops which barely wet the bottom of the bottle,
if it even passes the flange.  Collection is easier and sterility is
assured.  I always tell them that in the first pumping session nothing
comes out, that her body does not react to the pump as it reacts to the
baby.  When she does get those few drops, it is 100% more than we
expected and we make a big deal about it.
