went to an LLL meeting yesterday and there was a mom there so concerned
because her son wouldn't eat solids -- meanwhile son is desperately trying
to eat a piece of cake (they were having a celebration because a new leader
was certified) and she kept yanking him away roughly from the chair with the
cake on it

now I understand why she didn't want him to eat a big slug of sugar-frosting
as one of his first foods, but she was definitely sending him signals that
eating food or even trying to eat food gets you in big trouble with mom

heard lots of sentiments expressed about wanting information about weaning
for babies just past one (13 months, 15 months) and managed to keep my big
mouth shut -- y'all would have been proud of me
