A 2 week old baby girl had a spot of dried milk on her nipple so it
seems she has been secreting some milk. Quite close (1/2 cm) to the edge
of her areola there was a sharp small lump, like feeling the end of a
pen under the skin. Is it possible for her to have a blocked duct? Does
it feel sharp because there is so little adipose tissue there? the
mother has not been squeezing the breast or interfering in any way.
Anyone seen this before?
