Isn't The Exam done in whatever language or variation of language eg.
american english/queens english, canadian french/swiss french? and extra
time given if it is in a 2nd language you are doing the exam ?
I recently went to a presentation and this was certainly the impression
given.

The exam is given in many languages but not yet in Hebrew.  I think they
need a certain minimal number of people requesting to take the exam in a
language before it is translated. Others from the IBLCE board know more
about this.  In Israel, the majority of IBCLC's (so far) have been English
speakers so it has not been much of an issue yet.  Only recently, as more
nurses are taking lactation courses, I am hearing from some of them that
this is one of the obstacles in heading towards IBCLC.
