Just what I thought Janice...and I hope that our friends in the human milk
banks do not assist the FDA if they attempt to control or regulate this
movement in being alarmist about the risks associated with informal milk
sharing.

Yes, it would be great to see more milk banks set up.  But I would hate to
see it happen that they first focus on making milk sharing illegal or
something.  But the realistic in me sees that this is the way it would
work...

After waiting so many years to see more milk banks started, and seeing very
little happening, I am THRILLED to see the women taking control of this,
themselves.

I can't say why the FDA is involved, but I'm not surprised that those in
government are taking notice. Frankly, if this movement is what it takes for
governments to start providing adequate support for human milk banking, I'm
all for it.
